Falling for Bonobo(y)s

Before spring has even had a chance to settle in, fashion crowds descended on New York’s latest nightclub “Mr. Purple” to preview the upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 collection from River Oaks District’s men’s shop Bonobos. With an energetic performance by indie rock band Drowners, the blowout party had guests like CBS Sunday Morning’s Mo Rocca, Bergdorf Goodman’s Fashion Director Bruce Pask, and artist/traveler Foster Huntington hanging around long past the usual cocktail hour with Bonobos’ Andy Dunn, CEO and Dwight Fenton, Chief Creative Officer to help celebrate the new collection.

Looking ahead to fall, menswear classics like textured wool suits get loosened up while unconstructed jackets get paired with sweaters for a modern take on daytime dressing. Embracing sweaters over the usual shirt and tie combination, give tailored clothes a fresh, modern sensibility by incorporating a looser more relaxed silhouette. Shades of navy, grey, and camel mix and match perfectly, easily fitting in with any guy’s existing wardrobe. The unseasonably cool New York weather provided the night’s perfect backdrop, and the chilly temps had everyone ready to skip spring altogether and head directly to fall with this fantastic new collection.
