David Webb at deBoulle

For those who love spectacular jewelry with a fascinating and glamorous history, a rare and not to be missed event will be coming to the River Oaks District for one night only. Jeweler David Webb will be paying a visit to de Boulle offering unique and one-of-kind pieces from their incredible collection rarely seen in Houston. Founded in 1948 with just a handful of employees, the famed New York City based jeweler cemented his reputation after landing his first Vogue cover two years later at the young age of 25.

Famous for his bold use of bright yellow gold, enamel work, and his colorful and iconic stylized bracelets depicting animals, the work of David Webb work is singularly unique and instantly recognizable. The distinctive and timeless Webb style has caught the eye of the most formidable fashion icons over the years, worn by the likes of Diana Vreeland, Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, the Duchess of Windsor, Brooke Astor, and Mrs. Paul (Bunny) Mellon...just to name a few.

In an interesting link back to Houston and River Oaks, former first lady Elyse Lanier managed David Webb's original Houston store in the River Oaks Bank Building back in 1975 and introduced and popularized David Webb among Houston's high society. Returning now to Houston for one night only, the David Webb trunk show will be visiting de Boulle early 2016. Please check with deBoulle for details.
